Horse Showing is an important part of training and development at the International Riding Academy and provides opportunities for each rider to learn, grow and improve. All the training, practice, mental training and preparation are to help the student reach their full potential in horse shows.
The local show circuit is the CHC (Coastal Hunter Circuit), which consists primarily of day events within a 100 mile radius. The coaches will often go a day early to prepare the horses for the shows, with the riders arriving early on show days.
Riders will usually show on the regional AA circuits, starting in the unrated divisions and moving up to the rated divisions. Our primary sites for the AA shows are Charleston SC, Jacksonville FL, Aiken SC and Atlanta GA. We also often attend the Camden, SC and Tryon, NC shows.
For students who qualify, national shows include Maclay Finals and National Pony Finals.
Our IEA Middle and High School teams compete in Zone 4.
