The International Riding Academy is pleased to offer student boarders of Hilton Head Preparatory School who are interested in either beginning or furthering their riding experience a riding program that offers a safe and quality experience without the need and commitment of the full Riding Academy. The Academy's instructional focus is the English Hunter/Jumper discipline. In addition, the Prep Program includes the development of good horsemanship and general stable management skills.This program establishes a strong foundation in riding and horsemanship to supplement Prep's challenging college preparatory education for students in grades six through twelve. The Prep Program focuses on teaching the students discipline, responsibility, self-confidence and pride.

The Prep Program offers instruction for all levels of riders who do not have their own horse, from the beginner to the advanced, and students may participate in local and regional shows. Riders are also encouraged to participate in the ANRC (American National Riding Commission) program and compete as a team.
