The International Riding Academy at Lawton Stables, located in the beautiful Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, was created for the purpose of preparing a small and dedicated group of junior riders to compete in the hunter/jumper, jumpers and equitation disciplines up to the National level and to join college scholarship riding programs. Limited to a maximum of 12 participants in an exclusive and private community, iRiding encourages each rider to achieve his or her riding and educational goals based on each student's individuality, dedication and efforts. Under the direction of our internationally acclaimed trainers, students have daily individual and group training, with safety and sportsmanship being the primary focus, coupled with individual advancement and achievement. Our programs combine private and group lessons, ground training, horse care, barn and business management and horse showing at the local, regional and national levels.

Working together with Hilton Head Preparatory School, each student will be prepared to enter the college of their choice with vigorous academics, SAT preparation and a new level of riding ability. Our staff keeps in constant communication with the school, ensuring each student is keeping up with their academic work, as well as sending a written monthly report to parents informing them of the student's progress. 

Our mission is to seek highly motivated and talented riders and develop them to their full potential as competitors at the top junior levels, while upholding excellent academic standards and promoting exceptional characters.

The International Riding Academy is a home away from home for a small and elite group of riders, where the students have dedicated trainers, organizers, houseparents, and support staff to make sure their middle and high school college preparatory years are successful.
